Our Concept
- Other mouthguard companies will require you to make an appointment with a Dentist so that they can administer the impression. This is often inconvenient, timely and expensive. Proguards self impression kits are so easy and accurate, a Dentist is not required.
- Upon receiving your impressions at our laboratory, they are cast up that day. This reduces significantly the chances of any irregularities or distortions occurring.
- Some mouthguard companies do not have a bilateral agreement with all dental practices. Therefore you will be forced to use a Dentist who may be unknown to you. Proguards self impression kits mean you are not faced with this concern.
- Self moulding over the counter mouthguards (boil and bite) can be found easily for sale from other companies. These suffer from a dramatic decrease in thickness when bitten into place when in their softened state, which remains once cooled. The materials used are cheap and the mouthguards do not fit the mouth properly. This provides a false sense of protection and permanent injuries can be sustained. These mouthguards are therefore not something we endorse and therefore do not sell.
